Self-Storage is when storage space / storage unit is rented out to tenants on a short- or long-term basis. Tenants can either be individuals (storing furniture, household goods, cars, wine, and more) or businesses (storing important documents, or excess office furniture).
The tenant receives a lock and key that they keep, and the employees of the self-storage facility do not have access to the storage units.
